Once the fireplace is clean, tap the container once on the floor to settle the fine layer of ash covering the filter "b".
As a safety precaution, wait 24 hours before transferring the ashes into another container (bin bag, dustbin, etc.)
The ash, rich in potassium and phosphorus, can also be used as fertiliser in your garden. |

When you empty the container, clean the non-woven filter bag "b" with a paint brush or a floor brush.
|
|

Your ash vacuum cleaner is ready to be used again.
When the cleaner begins to vacuum less powerfully, simply flick the metal clamp over to the side, and take out the non-woven filter bag "b"
when you empty the container and rinse it under the tap. |

You will not need to dismantle the paper filter cartridge "a", located underneath the filter bag "b", simply clean it with a brush.
Once the filter bag is clean and dry, you can reinsert it above the filter cartridge "a". On the outside of the container we advise cleaning the filter cartridge every three times you use the cleaner, but this will depend on the quantity of ash you vacuum, what type of wood you use, what type of fireplace you have etc. |

As you clean your fireplace you will notice that the container vibrates slightly. This is just the visible part of a much more important phenomenon:
Inside the cleaner the motor, attached under the cover in such a way as to allow it to move, is positioned inside a filter cartridge.
This cartridge is covered by a second non-woven filter. A turbine fitted with an unbalance is made to rotate by the suction of the motor
and causes both the motor and the filters to vibrate (drawing "A").

These vibrations (over 75 oscillations a second) prevent the ashes from forming a thick crust on the filter: They automatically fall from the filter to the bottom of the container (drawing "A" and "B").
And moreover, the vibrations of the container compact the ashes, making more space. When the
level of the ashes reaches the filter (drawing "C"), the vibrations will continue to create a space between the accumulated ash and the filter; thus the vacuum cleaner will continue to operate until the level of the ash reaches the place where the tube enters the container. |
